Don't Be a Creep: How Zdarko Photography Ensures a Fun and Safe Photoshoot
Hey there, photography enthusiasts! Chris Zdarko here, your friendly neighborhood photographer and resident dad joke aficionado. Today, let's talk about something important: creating a comfortable and safe space for everyone during a photoshoot.
Look, I get it. Stepping in front of the camera can feel a little vulnerable. You might be worried about looking awkward, or maybe you're just not sure what to expect. That's why at Zdarko Photography, we prioritize creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for every single client - regardless if you’re there for family, branding, or beauty portraits!
So, how do we ensure a fun and safe photoshoot for everyone?
Communication is Key: Before our first click, we have an open and honest conversation about your vision for the shoot. What makes you feel comfortable? What are your concerns? What are your goals for the session? This session can be over the phone, email, or even a video call so you can truly see my personality and see if we would be a great fit.
Respect Your Boundaries: Your comfort is our top priority. If you're not comfortable with a particular pose or location, we'll absolutely respect your wishes. No pressure, no awkwardness, just pure fun.
Creating a Relaxed Atmosphere: We understand that feeling awkward in front of the camera is completely normal. That's why we strive to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere where you can let loose and be yourself. Think of it as hanging out with a friend (who happens to be a photographer).
Professionalism at its Finest: At Zdarko Photography, professionalism is paramount. We maintain a respectful and ethical approach at all times, ensuring your safety and well-being throughout the entire session.
Bring Your Friend, Family, or even your Spouse: Feel free to bring a friend, family member, or even your spouse for support. As long as they don't interfere with the shoot, their presence is welcome!
Promoting Safety (Even in Crazy Weather Conditions... and from Attack Squirrels!):
Wild or Unexpected Weather Conditions: I always advise my clients to come prepared for the weather, along with snacks and water. Even if you book an outdoor session in the middle of winter, we can take frequent breaks to warm up in our vehicles or in a nearby building or business.
Always Stay Aware of the Environment: Some moments of creativity may strike either one of us, in these instances - if you (or myself) feel uncomfortable climbing up a tree, or a bridge, or any other situation that may result in harm or injury, don’t be afraid to voice your concerns! I would rather prioritize your safety over getting a few more social media likes.
A Note to Our Clients:
We encourage you to speak up if you ever feel uncomfortable during a photoshoot. Your voice matters.
A Note to Other Photographers:
Let's all do our part to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone in the photography industry.
