So, you’re here because you are a photographer struggling with your Client Relation Management CRM.

Read on to learn more about my personal experience with Honeybook, the features, the pro’s, and the con’s.

So, do I really need a CRM?

I found having one is game-changing. However, if you are great at the following things, maybe you don’t need one.

  • Managing client projects

  • Payment/Invoice system

  • Managing Contracts

  • Expense Management

  • Client communications

  • Reminders, Follow-ups, Brochures, Providing system of records

These are just a few things that Honeybook can do for you, and even automate a lot of it to keep your head on straight so you never forget to send out an invoice, or provide a reminder of a session.

Personal Experience

The biggest hurdle is setting up all of your automations & emails, but once it’s set, you’re gold!

Pros

  • Honeybook provides exceptional resources, help guides, and even access to a support chat when you find yourself unsure of what to do.

  • Allows me to build multiple automations & processes - so I never forget a communication or a key step in the process of a project.

  • Ties in seamlessly with my website domain and email, so even when I send off communications from Honeybook, it comes from my actual email address.

  • Customize your brand colors, logo, images, and fonts for your brochures, guides, and any communications that you send.

  • Allows for various types of payments from your clients (including auto-pay for the projects that are ongoing or extensive) & sends the cash directly to your bank.

  • Has schedulers you can create & build.

  • Seamlessly integrate with your personal calendar, so you never miss a meeting or a photoshoot!

Cons

  • The normal price of Honeybook is around $400 USD per year, which can be a lot. But when you consider everything it does, it really frees up a lot of your administrative tasks & time and allows you to concentrate on the creative part of the process.

  • It is not currently a great resource for email newsletters due to the setup & complexity. However, if you have a mailing list (with names) - you can import this list and send individual email blasts to your mailing list through Honeybook.

In conclusion

Honeybook is a workhorse, and to me, is now a staple in my business. It has really allowed me to provide exceptional client experience to every project.

If you use the 25% off link, you will also get a free 7-day trial that will allow you to play around and see the capabilities that Honeybook can truly provide you & your clients.
